Another great book to share: The Maze Runner by James Dashner. It's a trilogy, but I've only read the first two (The Maze Runner and The Scorch Trials) so I can't tell you if it ends well yet. I'm getting started on The Death Cure though, so check back up on that when I finish it. :) It's pretty action-y but I found the plot behind it pretty interesting. It's set in the future, where a boy named Thomas suddenly wakes up in a place he's never been before, with no memory of anything but his name. The place is called the Maze, where a bunch of other boys not too different from him have ended up, getting there without any memory either. Their goal is to figure a way out of the Maze, and figure out who put them there, all while avoiding the Grievers: monsters that live in the Maze.
I think I've heard of talk of a prequel, The Kill Order, but I'm not sure if it's out yet.

So one of my favorite authors is James Patterson, he's really talented. This summer I read his Maximum Ride books, and I loooved them! I literally read nonstop for a week. The first book is called The Angel Experiment. So if you haven't read it, be sure to check it out!
(The pic I posted here is the original cover artwork of the book, I don't really like the newer versions because the characters look nothing like how I pictured them. I'm sure you guys all know how that is.)
The last book in the series, Nevermore, was really great up until the ending, (in my opinion anyway). I thought it needed something extra at the end, so I wrote a fanfic. The story is about a girl named Max, (Maximum Ride) who, along with her band of five friends, is a bird-human hybrid. So, yes, she has wings. But when Max is suddenly attacked by Erasers, (evil wolf-human hybrids) she and her small family of mutants leave there home, and go on the run, looking for ways to stop the awful scientists who created them.
This is one of my favorite series, along with Percy Jackson.
